The United Weather Centres-West (UWC-West) High-Performance Computer (HPC) will be subject to maintenance from Tuesday 2026-09-01 until Wednesday September 2026-09-09. On 4 days between 1 September and 9 September the availability of model data will be reduced during up to 11 hours per day. That means on these days there will be no ensemble and BES data available for a significant part of the day. The downtime will start at 08:00 CEST. Later in the month of September the data feed could also experience some delays.

There will be no data updates during the maintenance.Missing data will not be restored.

After the maintenance window has finished, the datasets will return to the regular hourly updates. However, there might be delays while the HPC is catching up on the operational runs.

Planned maintenance period

The updates will be on the following dates:

  • Tue 1 September

  • Thu 3 September

  • Mon 7 September

  • Wed 9 September

If the maintenance cannot take place on this day, it will be postponed until the following day.

Important notice about the maintenance period

The maintenance will be postponed if weather conditions do not allow for it. Because the HPC is shared between Denmark, Iceland, Ireland and the Netherlands, this means if the weather situation of one of these countries does not allow for downtime, the maintenance will be performed on a later date. This will only be communicated via the developer portal news page and the KDP Community Slack
