Action request for users anonymous API key
As you may have noticed, the anonymous API key is provided with an expiry date. The date of the API key that was in use has passed on May 25, 2021.
A new API key has been made available and can be found via the following link: https://developer.dataplatform.knmi.nl/get-started. We would like to ask everyone who is using the expired API key to switch to the new key as soon as possible.
On July 1, 2021 we will remove the expired anonymous API key.
We recommend using a registered API key when you run a script with the anonymous API key. You can use this API key indefinitely (within the set "rate limit" and "quota") and you do not have to share the "rate limit" and "quota" with others. In addition, the registered API key will not expire, so your application is not dependent on the lifespan of the anonymous API key. If you are registered, you can also request an API key for a specific dataset to get even more space.
